History

The Florence Petherick was lost by collision with the steamer Duke of Lancaster off Copeland Island at the Entrance to Belfast Lough on the night of 9th March. She had been carrying coal from Troon to Bray. The master, Capt. John Ellis, and his three crew were rescued by the Steamer.
