History

At five o'clock on Monday morning a French Brigantine Novo Pacifico of Nantes went ashore at Ballyteigue. One boy was lost but the remainder of the crew (five men) were saved. The ship was laden with a cargo of flour from Santander for Liverpool a portion of which has been already saved and it is expected that the remainder will be secured. The vessel will be a complete wreck.
