History

CROOKHAVEN, NOV 15

The Barque Guiana, Anderson of Greenock from Ichaboe was driven ashore on Furse Island Dunmanus Bay about five o'clock on the morning of the 15th inst. the crew consisting of 17 men all saved but were laid up with scurvy with the exception of four. Very trifling part of the wreck is saved and in all probability the vessel with her cargo (guano) will be nearly a total loss; she is full of water. the masts were cut away and everything possible done for the preservation of the property
