CLOSE TO QUEENSTOWN

Submarine Shells Schooner Off Kinsale Two Trawlers and Danish Steamer Sunk.

LONDON May 6.The schooner Earl of Lathom was sunk today by a German submarine off Kinsale on the Irish coast thirteen miles southwest of Queenstown. The crew was permitted to take to the small boats and were rescued by a trawler. The submarine fired nine shells at the Schooner before she sank.
