The vessel Dove, of Beaumaris on her voyage from Galway to Dundalk having on board a cargo of kelp consigned to James Carroll Esq was totally wrecked off the Isle of Arran on the 24th ultimo captain and crew saved.

Galway August 26 The Schooner Dove, Hughes in going through the South Sound of Arran Island struck the finish Rock and shortly after sunk in deep water the crew all saved.
