Coast Guard Cruiser Fanny Sank after a Colision with the 4,587 ton Iron Steamship Helvetia of the National Steamship Company Limited about three miles south-west by south of the Tuskar Rock on the 31st of October 1878, whereby the Fanny was lost and 17 of her crew were drowned.
