The Fowey, M'Donnell from Limerick to Plymouth with 200 tierces and 138 barrels of pork , was taken at the entrance of the Shannon on 1st instant by an American Brig Privateer of 18 guns and set fire to , she drove on shore the next day in Kilbaha Bay where the greater part of her cargo was landed and taken possession of by the inhabitants
